Wow! 2022 has given us a HUGE surprise with the "Pumpkin" project. 😮
This season we produced an exciting clutch that we had to share with you.We bred our Cinnamon Pumpkin male to a Fire Yellowbelly female. The odds gods were in our favor as all of the babies except one had the "Pumpkin" 🎃 gene. The Pumpkin gene is fantastic as it is color-enhancing and reduces pattern.
But, ... something unexpected happened this year.
We have produced white snakes with the Pumpkin gene for the first time. The babies are Black Eyed Leucistic with some paradoxing. We were not anticipating the Pumpkin gene to behave this way, and we are now more excited than ever to continue to investigate this project further to see what's going on.
See the new hatchlings here:
Thank you for taking the time to read this article; leave a comment telling us your favorite of the new "Pumpkin" hatchlings, and do not forget to make it a great day!Â
