Colombian Rainbow boa babies require high humidity (60-80% is good enough in most cases). The younger the baby is, the higher humidity you want. They are semi-arboreal (especially as babies). In your enclosure, you may want to consider putting in a branch, but it is not required. This species goes through a process called Metachrosis and change color during the morning and night.
The Boidae are a family of nonvenomous snakes found in America, Africa, Europe, Asia and some Pacific Islands. Relatively primitive snakes, adults are medium to large in size, with females usually larger than the males. Two subfamilies comprising eight genera and 43 species are currently recognized.
We are currently breeding for more amazing boas at this time! More babies will be hatching out this summer. Questions about our selection of Boas? Please call us at (586) 263-4686 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
